Funny Friday Quote: Perception of Marriage-Painful or funny?

Marriage is a beautiful thing.  Although men and women are different, they are equal in their status before God, but different in their roles.  God blessed marriage between a man and a woman, as the means for God to fill the earth with people in his image who will choose to follow and worship him.  This is reflected and demonstrated in marriage by the way that a husband and wife are devoted to each other and the children that God blesses them with, and that as a unit, they reflect the glory of God in their lives, relationships and actions.This paints the picture of the original intention that God had and still has for us today.  Life is hard enough…love your spouse and serve each other.

Lord, help us to remember when we first met and the strong love that grew between us.

To work that love into practical things so nothing can divide us.

We ask for words both kind and loving, and for hearts always ready to ask forgiveness as well as to forgive.

Dear Lord, we put our marriage into Your hands.  Amen
