About the Pastor

     Pastor Jeffrey N. Povolish was born in Tampa, Florida, and is the son of Philip Povolish and Dorothy Bradshaw.  After graduating from Hirschi High School (Wichita Falls, Texas) in 1992, he received a two-year academic scholarship to Midwestern State University, majoring in Radiological Science.  In 1994, he joined the United States Air Force, earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Wayland Baptist University in 1999.  Furthermore, he would continue his active service in the Air Force by earning the rank of Second Lieutenant upon graduating from Air Force Officer Training School in 2000.  In 2006, and after thirteen years of active enlisted and officer military service, he earned his Masters of Business Administration from Wayland Baptist University with a concentration in general management.  In 2009, Pastor Jeff will receive his Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, located in Lynchburg, Virginia, while continuing to pursue a Master of Divinity with a concentration in Pastoral Counseling.   

     In 1998, he accepted his call into the gospel ministry and served under his mentor, Pastor Jeffrey S. Burke, Senior Pastor of Living Water Worship Center, located in Spring Valley, Ohio, where he also received his ordination.  

     Pastor Jeff is a widely traveling minister, with annual trips to various preaching venues across North America, and eventual mission trips to Africa and the Holy Land.  In addition to his pastoral duties, Pastor Jeff continues to balance his time by serving on active duty in the Unites States Air Force as a Program/Project Manager, while engaging and sustaining family activities.  He and his wife, Christine, a professional school teacher, have been married for sixteen years and are the proud parents of three children: one daughter, Christen, and two sons, Jeffrey II and Joshua. 

     His passion is preaching the Gospel and seeing lives changed by accepting God’s grace through faith what Christ did for all of mankind on the cross.  He is a man of many gifts, but his gift of teaching and taking spiritual truths and making them applicable through real-life situations and illustrations is what sets him apart from other pastors.  His deepest desire is to see men walk in truth, gain confidence, grow in Christ, and become the leaders, fathers, and servants God created them to become.

     It is our prayer that you live your life according to what Jesus called the greatest commandment of all in Matthew 22:37—“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.”
