Capturing God in all His Glory is such a difficult task.  There are so many words to describe Him, yet the two that stand out to me the most are Alpha and Omega.  God tells us in Revelation 21:6 “It is done!  I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.  I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.”  The Almighty Father has just told us that He will give to all who are thirsty and do so freely.

There are so many people that long to feel as though they belong to something, and here we have God, Who is indescribable, saying that He will give to whoever thirsts for Him. There are also some Christians that have already come to the fountain and have taken a drink, yet they stopped there and after a while began to just take sips of water that were falling off of other Christians, for whatever reason. And instead of going back to the river to be filled, they settled for the drippings off of someone else.  It’s important to remember that you can only run on sips of water for so long, and eventually lack of water can lead to spiritual dehydration, a condition that occurs when you don’t have enough water in your body to carry out God’s plan.  Don’t settle for someone’s else’s drippings, you can have so much more and be filled by God Himself.  God knows you just as He knows the person next to you and offers His water freely for all who believe.

Are you thirsty?  If you are, then Jesus in all His Glory is saying come to the fountain, and if you believe in Him just “as the scripture has said, out of your heart will flow rivers of living water.” John 7:38.  There is nothing you need to do, Jesus did it all.  Do you want to know Him?  Are you tired of being where you are?  Do you want more out of your life?  Then come to the fountain, ask Him into your life, believe all He did, and let the “pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceed from the throne of God and of the Lamb” Rev 22:1, and flow straight into your hearts.

Quote of the day:  D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones

“Though you are one of the teeming millions in this world, and though the world would have you believe that you do not count and that you are but a speck in the mass, God says, “I know you.”

Bible verse of the day:  John 7:38

“He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

Dear Heavenly Father,

You have given me water from your river to drink.  It so abundantly fills me everyday.  God, there are people out there that are afraid and don’t know what to expect.  God, I pray that they don’t give in to their fear, but that they allow You to lead them to this fountain to drink.  God, I pray that they are filled beyond measure.  May they form a strong relationship with You and see for themselves all that You have to offer them.  God we shouldn’t want to be filled by other people’s drippings, when we can have the same thing as our brother or sister in Christ.  I pray that they recognize that they are just as important as the next person and God loves us all.  May we each use our gifts that You have blessed us with to share with others and may Your name be proclaimed in this world as a Loving God, Alpha and Omega, the God Who always gives freely!  I thank You for this day!

In Jesus Name I pray,
