Hello to all of you.  Sorry for not writing yesterday, but finding a computer while out of town has been a little more difficult than expected.  Today, I was able to break away and find a libaray that granted me computer access.  This week is the last week that we will not be in Dallas and hopefully by Saturday or Sunday will be back home, thus getting everything back to normal.  We moved to Dallas July 12th, but have not been in our home in Dallas except for a total of 2 weeks.  Traveling is exhausting, but rewarding, as we have been blessed to have spoken to some great pastors and have started opening doors for the new church that we will be starting next year.  Thanks to all of you that have spoken to us and have given us great counsel.  For all of you that receive Quote of the day daily, thanks to all of you for being so patient with this move.

Story of the day:  It’s been wiped clean

I was watching Little House on the Prairie the other day and there was a scene in the show where the kids were all in school and using their slate boards to answer questions that the teacher had asked of them.  Slate boards are small chalk boards that the kids have at their desk or they take home to do homework.  For those of you that don’t know what slate boards are or don’t watch Little House on the Prairie, they are our version of paper that we use to write on today.  As I continued to watch this show, God began to share with me how our life mirrors this slate board.

Billy Graham writes:  “Did you ever have the experience in school of erasing an entire blackboard?”  When the chalk board or in the case of Little House on the Prairie, slate board, “when it’s wiped clean, it’s as if nothing at all had ever been written on it.

This is what God does for us when we come to Him, confessing our sin and trusting Christ as our Lord and Savior.  First John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  Note what He promises to do: forgive and cleanse.  The slate is wiped clean!  Only God can do that.  We can’t do it ourselves.

How many times in your life have you wished you could start all over again with a clean slate, with a new life?  Resolve right now to allow God to wipe your slate clean by confessing your sins and letting Him give you a brand new start.”

Quote of the day:  Author Unknown

“The same hand that made the beauty of this world has a more beautiful place prepared for us.”

Bible verse of the day:  Psalm 51:10

“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and put a new and right spirit within me.”

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Just as the Psalmist has said, I pray that You create in me a clean heart and put a new and right spirit within me.  As my life mirrors that slate board, Father, and you have wiped my life clean, I pray that now, my life can represent something sweet in Your Eyes.  I pray for continued guidance throughout the remainder of this trip and may all that we do while on the road be a light so others may see You in us.  I thank You for this day!

In Jesus Name I pray,

Amen
