Play on the one string we have

Story of the day:  Play on the one string we have

Chuck Swindoll writes:  “The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.  Attitude, to me, is more important than facts.  It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do.  It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill.  It will make or break a company…a church…a home.  The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.  We cannot change our past…We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way.  We cannot change the inevitable.  The only thing we do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude….I am convinced that life is 10 percent what happens to me and 90 percent how to react to it.  And so it is with you.  We are in charge of our attitudes.”

Quote of the day:  William J. Bennett

“There are no menial jobs, only menial attitudes.”

Bible verse of the day:  Ephesians 4:23

“and be renewed in the spirit of your mind,”

Dear Heavenly Father,

My attitude sets up the outcome of circumstances in my life.  Father,  I pray to have a good attitude towards things or people that I come across.  Soften my heart that I may treat others the way that You treat me.  Father, I know that I have the choice to either have a good attitude or a bad one, and I ask for wisdom in choosing the one that is good.  I thank You for this day!

In Jesus Name I pray,
