Butterfly                                                                                                                                                                                                 Story of the day:  The Metamorphosis of a Butterfly

Have you ever witnessed the life cycle of a butterfly?  The start of their life begins as an egg, and about 5 days later, a tiny caterpillar hatches.  This caterpillar stage of life is used for eating and growing,  moving him into the last stage before his emergence as a butterfly.  The metamorphosis that the caterpillar goes through, spins him into a resting stage where he will shed his old life and begin a marvelous transformation.  A beautiful butterfly now emerges from the once dark sin of his cocoon and crawls out with his compound eyes to see the world.  His wings are expanding with blood pumping through them, ready to take flight.  The butterfly has gone through a deep and unrecognizable change, where he no longer sees himself as he once was, but what he has become, that which is beautiful.     Christy Povolish

Quote of the day:  Nick Harrison

“The way we look at ourselves means a radical change.  When self is displaced by Christ, the changes are always good, but they are always deep.  Many people don’t want change.  Even though such change is good change.”

Bible verse of the day:  Romans 6:11 (NKJV)

“Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Dear Heavenly Father,

The change that has taken place in my life is because of Your Son, Jesus Christ.  Thank You for taking my old life and making it new.  The deep emergence that has come out of my life is all because of Your Love, Grace, and Mercy.  My wings have expanded and are taking flight in this life ready to share Your Word with those around me.  I thank You for this day!

In Jesus Name I pray,

I love this story of the metamorphosis of a Butterfly. I was looking for a way to discribe my scripture art of a butterfly using the scripture from Romans 12:1 – “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world but, be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
