Funny Friday Quote: Ill with the Flu

Posted: June 4, 2010 in June 2010

Good morning to all. Here is a little update on the Povolish Family. In about a week, we will be heading to a youth camp in Tennessee, where we will meet with our Pastor from our sister church in Ohio. After a week’s stay, we will then be heading back to Texas for a couple of days of some much-needed r and r. This much-needed rest comes before we turn around and head back to New Mexico to move once again.  This time, our move takes us down the street, instead of across the country. None the less, as with any move, we will be without our computers for a couple of weeks, as the process to hook up new service in a new home takes a bit of time.  As we have been preparing for so many exciting things to happen this summer, we are still asking for prayer for Living Water Worship Center-SW. With much prayer and talk about the new Church, it doesn’t come easy. The enemy has tried to detour us on many different levels and though it can be a little discouraging, we know one thing is for sure, we are going to keep enduring, praying, and seeking God in the entire process, no matter what is tossed our way. With all of that said, we just want to thank you all again and to let you all know that you are still in our prayers!

Funny Friday Quote: Ill with the Flu (Jim Kraus)

A young boy called the pastor of a small local church, asking him to come and pray for his mother, who was ill with the flu. The pastor knew the family and was aware they had been attending a much bigger church down the road. So the pastor asked, “Shouldn’t you be asking the pastor of your own church to come and pray with your mom?”

“Yeah,” the boy replied, “except we didn’t want to take the chance that he might catch whatever she has.”

Bible verse of the day: Hebrews 11:10 (NKJV)

“for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.”

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You so much for showing me through Your Word that no matter what things we endure, that You are still the Ultimate Decider and Creator of my life. When I get discouraged, You are always there, ready to provide hope and peace regardless of what may be happening around me. Father, thank You for being the One in my life that never fails me and is always guiding me. Thank You for loving me and showing me what it means to endure and keep on running the race. I love You and I am so thankful for this day!

In Jesus Name I pray,

Amen
